Handspun (and subsequently twisted) mugs

Inspired by other ceramic artists, these items have acquired their twist through the application of friction within the interior of a vessel on a throwing wheel. Channels are carved into the surface before the vessel is stretched out, and the grooves take on a twisted, helical shape.

These pieces are, in my mind, whimsical and sweet, and SO fun to touch. I absolutely adore drinking out of them.
