CAD work

I find myself in the very lucky position of having a life partner who posesses skills that I would like to learn. One of those skills is his fluency in CAD programs such as SolidWorks and Fusion 360. A while back, I began parking myself behind him while he worked on his models. I observed how he manipulated things. I observed his pain points (and thought I’d be able to avoid them, or surely figure out another way around them.)

Before I knew it, was excited to try my hand at CAD and I began modeling 3d printed molds to create my own plaster slipcast molds. To my dismay, I wasn’t able to avoid the pain points, but I was able to learn some new skills that we could both add to our tool box.
